Tsim Sha Tsui is a major hotel, tourism, and shopping district in Hong Kong, known for its unique charm that blends history, culture, cuisine, shopping, and leisure. The establishment of the "T-Central Strategic Development Association" aims to harness this potential and enhance the tourism and economic vitality of Tsim Sha Tsui central area.
Modern tourism emphasizes cultural immersion, and the Tsim Sha Tsui central area is home to many cultural treasures. Nathan Road, the longest road in Kowloon, is named after Sir Nathan, the 13th Governor of Hong Kong. It runs through the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui and is one of the busiest and most iconic streets in Hong Kong. As a main thoroughfare, Nathan Road carries rich historical and cultural significance, featuring numerous historic and landmark buildings, such as the nearly century-old Peninsula Hotel, the nearly 70-year-old The Mira Hong Kong, the former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower, Signal Hill, Kowloon Park, and the former Kowloon British School (now the Antiquities and Monuments Office). These are all important landmarks that witness the early development history of Tsim Sha Tsui. In addition to these precious historical gems, the Nathan Road section in Tsim Sha Tsui is bustling with restaurants, bars, shops, and shopping centers, making it a vibrant paradise for travelers.
To preserve these treasures, unlock their cultural and economic value, and leverage existing resources for sustainable growth, Miramar Group has rallied key stakeholders to establish the "T-Central Strategic Development Association", abbreviated as T-Central, or T-S-T Central. Through initiatives encompassing beautification projects, enhanced transportation, and a diverse calendar of events, T-Central aims to transform the area into a vibrant destination for tourism, shopping, leisure, culture, and entertainment - a top choice for locals and tourists alike.
"T-Central" also represents a concept symbolizing the central area of Tsim Sha Tsui. The association will initially focus on enhancing the connectivity and accessibility of the area. We will also continue to unite local stakeholders and businesses to address common concerns regarding "T-Central" and provide recommendations to the government on issues related to tourism and community development in Hong Kong. Our goal is to invigorate the area's vitality and economy, making the area a must-visit destination for travelers and a popular spot for locals, ultimately serving as a showcase for Hong Kong tourism.
